There is an unusual calmness in me, since the altitude demands conserving oxygen. A sense of imbalance because of the direct ascent from civilization to silence, is inevitable. However, trust the fact that mountains embrace when one is gentle to the self. Take it easy is the mantra once into thin air.
’Julley’ spreads joy and each face is reflection of inner peace. The nothingness I find here is addictive and there is no escape from surrendering to the Himalayas, a place which empties me and my identities. These mountains take me to the deepest parts of me, unknown to me.
Nubra Valley – dry and demanding; Turtuk – Vibrant and simply life; Pangong Tso – Killer beauty; Khardungla – India’s Pride @ 18000ft; Chang La – Paradise of snow flakes, innumerous streams through the pebbles and rocks, the cascades that gush into the ears through the silent valleys. My second trip to Leh – a complete glimpse! Few shots remain from this year’s trip to Leh. More to come next season. I am silenced you see!
