Tal Chhapar is a blackbuck sanctuary in Churu district of Rajasthan spread across a little a more than 7 Square kilometers. This place is known for its golden grasslands, a unique habitat in the middle of the Thar Desert and of course the hopping blackbucks! The weather patterns are extreme with intermittent rainfall. It is home to many birds, and is famous for its raptor population and other shrub birds. Nilgai, Asia’s largest antelope which is endemic to the Indian subcontinent can be sighted here. One would definitely itch for more of this dreamlike destination!
